The Pony Island Motel & Inn has operated since 1958. It consists of five suites with whirlpool tubs, four cottages, four efficiency units and forty-one guest rooms. All rooms have wireless High Speed internet connectivity offered, free of charge. The swimming pool is centrally located in the lodging complex and is available to all guests.
The Pony Island Motel & Inn is laid out in two wings. The office side wing is situated on the edge of the property near an open area with large cedar trees and picnic tables. The office side wing is further divided into two areas, generally called the front office area and the courtyard area. This wing is provided with four efficiency lodgings and twenty-one guest rooms. All rooms feature air conditioning, cable television, telephones, small refrigerators, and are easily accessible with parking right outside of the doors. The other wing of the lodging is known as the poolside wing. This wing is a three story addition to the original motel, added in the mid 1990s. This wing features two floors of twenty three guest rooms, and the third floor is comprised of suites. All rooms overlook the swimming pool. The guest rooms all feature air conditioning and cable television. Unlike the guest rooms in the office side wing, these rooms all a kitchenette which has a small refrigerator, a microwave, a wet bar sink and a coffeemaker. The third floor suites all feature full kitchens and also have whirlpool tubs.
Room rates vary, depending on the size of the room, which wing the room is located in, and of course the time of the year. Off season rates (from December 01 to April 01) run from $60 per night for efficiencies to $115 per night for suites. Peak season rates (May 28 to September 05) increase to $108 per night for efficiencies to $175 per night for suites.
